About Me

I'm a filmmaker, mechanical artist and armature maker from Leipzig, Germany. Since 2012 I am working on a entirely handcrafted stopmotion animation movie over the course of which I developed an expertise for mechanical engineering, design and visual art. The international title is "An Unwound Clockwork" and original German title: "Das Getriebe im Sand".

Everything you will see on screen is handcrafted and I tried perfecting my crafts over the years. I have learned to work with different materials and developed a unique style of merging fine mechanical technical parts with organic structures. This is a design principle I am also incorporating into my jewelry and miniature designs.

My stopmotion armatures have already made their way into many other film productions worldwide and with this online shop I try to make them more accessible and give an overview over the newest developments of my workshop.
